New systems or Boiler Replacement:
Upgrading your old boiler along with intelligent controls that operate your system precisely to your life style can pay for itself in just a few years.
A new modern condensing boiler can save up to 30% on your energy bill when compared with appliances that are in excess of 20 years old.
All fuel types are catered for be it Natural Gas, LPG or Oil.
It is prudent to power flush a heating system immediately before fitting a new boiler to an existing system to prevent possible future problems. Many systems are found to contain corrosion and sludge, even if no flow problems have yet shown themselves. We can assess the quality of the system fluid and discuss this with you prior to completing any proposal.
We can provide competitive prices for complete New Heating installations or Boiler replacement and/or upgrade of system controls.
Even if your current boiler is of the condensing type, if it’s not fitted with intelligent controls you will not be maximising on possible fuel savings. Modern boilers and systems are designed to perfectly match the heat demand of your property. In order to achieve this the boiler must take into account the heat demand, the ambient temperature, current system temperature and importantly the external temperature.
Modern controls are “self-learning” whereby they calculate the rate at which your property loses heat, and then dependent on the above factors adjust the output of the boiler (temperature) to achieve the desired temperature at the correct time. Simplistically if its cold outside, the boiler will operate earlier than if the weather was mild in which case it would hold off its operation until it was actually required. So it’s easy to see where both cost savings can be made and the system can be programed for different temperatures throughout the day and for any day of the week.
If you have rooms that are used infrequently and do not necessarily require heating, then the installation of thermostatic radiator valves would provide some energy savings and protection against low temperatures.
So whether your existing controls are beginning to let you down or you just can’t achieve the flexibility from your system to match an ever changing lifestyle, this may be the opportune moment to upgrade.
We can survey your current installation and advise on the best possible approach to match new controls with the requirements of your lifestyle and compatibility with current equipment.
Unvented Hot Water Cylinders:
The installation of a modern Unvented Hot Water Cylinders may provide additional benefits when compared with an older open vented system. These being;
- Cost savings from improved standard of insulation and internal heat transfer coil.
- Hot water system will operate at an increased pressure.
- No stagnation or contamination of water is possible (as with tank in loft).
- Space in loft becomes available, particularly useful if you wish to extend upwards or require more storage space.
Note; not all dwellings are suitable for unvented systems as these require the installation of additional safety discharge pipes, requiring termination either in a suitable adjacent drain or via an external wall. Also the correct operation of any unvented system is dictated by both flow rate and pressure available from the public water main although it is possible to install a Home Booster system to supplement this.

A radiator’s primary function is to heat the space in which it is installed, so as well as adding to the aesthetics of the room, it must also be fit for purpose. So sourcing suitable decorative radiators in advance helps with any initial visit and discussions.
